The Silkworm by Robert Galbraith
The Silkworm by Robert Galbraith The Silkworm by Robert Galbraith is the second book in the Cormoran Strike detective series.
According to his wife, author Owen Quine is missing. Because Owen has made a habit of not coming home on a schedule, she has not gone to the police. Mrs. Quine is sure he has just gone off on his own somewhere but he is desperately needed and it’s time he came home now. She doesn’t have the funds to secure his services, but Detective Strike is not as down on his luck since solving his last case and he finds himself drawn to help Leonora Quine.
Strike finds Owen alright, but not in the land of the living. This missing persons case has now become a murder case. It seems that there are a lot of people who may have had an interest in offing Owen Quine and preventing the publication of his newest novel. Strike enlists the help of his trusty assistant, Robin to help solve this murder. Robin is proving to very capable and she definitely has a knack for investigating.
This is a well-paced murder mystery with unexpected twists. The real enjoyment comes in getting to know Cormoran and Robin. I thoroughly enjoy these characters.
